SDL funding should only be used to fund learning and development activities of IOM staff. For example, it may be used to shoulder the costs of:


• Participating in internal or external learning opportunities (training, certification) relevant to the work that the staff does for IOM

• Participating in professional development opportunities (staff exchange, mentoring, coaching)

• Developing learning initiatives for IOM staff

• Conducting learning and development initiatives for IOM staff

• Hiring externals to develop and/or conduct learning and development initiatives for IOM staff

• Translating learning material

• Shouldering cost of travel and DSA to participate in IOM-organized learning opportunities
