BEFORE THE LEARNING EVENT:
Study leave grants IOM staff members paid leave up to a maximum of 10 days per calendar year to be used for participation to external learning programmes which are not available within the Organization.

AFTER THE LEARNING EVENT:

For IOM-funded learning: You are required to share with SDL the impact of the learning 6 months from the training completion. You may access the form here.
INTERNAL learning programmes
IOM staff member taking an internal learning programme
Please ensure that the training that you will be participating in is reflected in your Wave-Learn transcripts[1]. Otherwise, please contact SDL and share the contact details of the training focal point
Log-in to Wave-Learn and complete the training evaluation form that will be reflected in your pending tasks, and you will be able to obtain your certificate of completion.
Note: You DO NOT need to update your I-Learn profile and upload a copy of your certificate to your Wave-Learn transcript as this will be done for you automatically.
Since internal learning programmes are IOM-funded learning, you are required to share with SDL the impact of the learning 6 months from training completion. You may access the form here.
Trainer or the training focal point organizing an internal learning programme
Please inform SDL at least 2 weeks before the start date of the learning event and register the training and the participants in Wave-Learn by completing the online learning description card (LDC). Note: SDL will do the technical registration in Wave-Learn. You will only have to provide the relevant details of the training.
By doing this, the participation of IOM staff to your training will be added to their individual Wave-Learn transcripts1, and the system could help you:
DURING THE LEARNING EVENT:
Please monitor the attendance/participation of participants.
NOTE: An attendance report could be generated from the tool that you will be using for virtual delivery (i.e. MS Teams attendance list is automatically generated for the meeting host after the event, WebEx report could be generated in the portal by the meeting host, etc.).
Submit to SDL the attendance list/actual list of participants who have completed the training in order to mark their attendance in Wave-Learn.
Upon marking of the attendance, the participants will receive a system-generated email with the instructions on how they can access the evaluation form and certificate within Wave-Learn.
