SDL does NOT fund learning costs for an individual. 

Please note that SDL funding is meant to provide learning opportunities to groups of staff, teams, offices, etc.


While SDL cannot provide financial support for individual study, there is the provision of study leave for IOM staff. 

Study leave grants IOM staff members paid leave up to a maximum of 10 days per calendar year to be used for participation in external learning programmes which are not available within the Organization. However, please note that SDL-sponsored learning initiatives like the language programme do not qualify for study leave.
